As part of the preparations for the opening of the Nursing Program, NwSSU has partnered with Calbayog District Hospital (CDH) as a Host Training Establishment (HTE) through a Contract of Affiliation.

Following the initial signing by the representatives of the university and CDH last March 12, 2024, the Office of the Governor of the Province of Samar led by Hon. Sharee Ann Tan signed the contract pursuant to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Appropriation Ordinance No. 17-400-23 which granted her the authority.
