NwSSU Celebrates University Days 2023
Festive. Commemorative. Ablaze.
With the theme, “Founding to Flourishing, Roots to Radiance: Achieving Excellence for 63 Years!”, Northwest Samar State University celebrates its 63rd Foundation Day, 41st Charter Day, and 14th Universityhood Anniversary on November 16-18, 2023.
The first day commenced with the Eucharistic Mass at RSU Socio-cultural Center, attended by students, faculty, and employees of the university, and presided by Rev. Fr. Roger Oñate. It was followed by a motorcade around the city proper. During the opening program, Dr. Benjamin Pecayo expressed,
“NwSSU has been the most inspiring place for us to learn and grow not just as professionals but it’s been our haven away from home.”
He also emphasized the important role that the Norwesians played in this historic commemoration. Activities such as LGBTQ+ Minute to Win it and Students’ Acquaintance Party followed in the afternoon and evening, respectively.
