NwSSU conducts Intellectual Property, Protection, and Commercialization Awareness Seminar

In order to protect intellectual property and promote innovation, the University conducted seminar on Intellectual Property, Protection, and Commercialization Awareness, which was attended by faculty members, September 13, at Business Development Center, NwSSU.
Dr. Ervin L. Rodriguez, Director of Innovation Office discussed the IP Awareness and Protection. He emphasized that range of IP which are inventions, literary works, designs, symbols, names, and images used in commerce. Further, Ms. Nelissa A. Sudaria, head of ITHub, talked on IP Commercialization and Utilization.
The seminar encapsulates that without intellectual property protection; companies and individuals would not fully profit from their creations and would devote less time to research and development. Thus, an open forum followed per each speaker.
