PASUC-8 Culture and Arts Tilt Ends, NwSSU Bags Awards

Flaunting the diverse culture of Eastern Visayas, the PASUC Regional Culture and Arts Festival officially started on October 17, 2023 and concluded on October 20 at Visayas State University. The said tilt brought another milestone to Northwest Samar State University as it garnered seven accolades across different contest categories.

Among ten competing state universities and colleges, for Short and Sweet Play, NwSSU Teatro Dagway was nailed as the Champion. With the piece titled, "Manlagsak Takon Amin", NwSSU Singers further clinched the second spot on Chorale Competition. Moreover, the University secured the fourth spot on Folk Dance Competition, and fifth place for Extemporaneous Speech, Dagliang Talumpati, Visual Arts- Photo Contest, and Contemporary Dance.

Dr. Edgardo E. Tulin, VSU and PASUC Region 8 President extended his warm message emphasizing the importance of arts and culture through creative expression. Hence, winners are to compete for PASUC National Culture and Arts Fest in Vigan, Ilocos Sur. One of these is the Teatro Dagway of NwSSU.
